What we hold, and what we refuse to hold

We never store a full Social Security number. The state accepts the last four digits or a date of birth, so that is all we keep. There is no column for a full Social Security number anywhere in our database.
Home addresses and dates of birth are encrypted with a key that belongs to your company alone. Every time one is read, it is logged, and you can see that log.
All data is stored and processed in United States data centres.
Two-factor authentication is required for anyone who can sign a certification.
We keep a written information security program under the New York SHIELD Act, and we will send it to your general contractor's risk team on request.

We do not claim a SOC 2 report we do not have, and we do not say "bank-level encryption". The list above is what we actually do.
